How to Do AB506

AB506 is Assembly Bill 506, the law that requires all adults who work with youth to be trained, certified, and livescan fingerprinted.

Go to the California Scouting website and follow the onscreen instructions. Be sure to save a copy of your certificate and also email it to the troop registrar to help us track expiration dates. It’s a good idea to keep it electronically in a safe place where you can access it.

Locally, The UPS Store in Carmel Valley and Del Mar have been easy places to get the livescan fingerprinting done, though other places do it too. You can make an appointment online.
